Kansai Airport’s Recovery Plan and Tigerair Taiwan’s New Handling Procedure

Flight operating notification

In conjunction with Kansai International Airport’s recovery plan as well as some international flight could be resumed, the following flights to/from Osaka between 14 September 2018 and 20 September 2018 will be operated:

  • IT212/IT213 Taoyuan-Osaka (Kansai) of 14 September,
  • IT212/IT213 Taoyuan-Osaka (Kansai) of 15 September,
  • IT212/IT213 Taoyuan-Osaka (Kansai) of 16 September,
  • IT212/IT213 Taoyuan-Osaka (Kansai) of 17 September, and
  • IT212/IT213 Taoyuan-Osaka (Kansai) of 19 September.

Flights to/from Osaka (Kansai) will resume from 21 September 2018.

New Handling Procedure (effected immediately)

Flight tickets were issued from 12 September and travel departed to/from Osaka before 20 September 2018 (flight number IT210, IT211, IT212, IT213, IT284, and IT285) could apply one of the options as below.

Option 1: Changing her/his travel period and destination. Passengers are able to change their flight destination to one of Tigerair Taiwan’s destination in Japan and travel before 31 October 2018. As long as there are available seat for the selected flight and before their initial departure date, changes can be done without additional service charge and airfare difference won’t be applied once. Please note that all changes need to be done before her/his initial departure for at least 6 hours, if s/he would like to select option 1 and need to be handled through Tigerair Taiwan’s call centre (+8862-5599-2555). If her/his booking was made through travel agency or other platform but not Tigerair Taiwan’s official website, please contact her/his original channel for further assistance.

Option 2: Refund. Passengers are able to opt for the refunded sum to be secured in the credit account of Tigerair Taiwan (credited into original reservation code: PNR). The total amount is able to be reused to purchase other air ticket within 6 months. Passengers are also able to choose refund full amount to her/his credit card account, which s/he used to complete the booking. For option 2, passengers could apply directly online (https://goo.gl/forms/q2gprTmNgrBjPrWJ3) by her/his own before 18:00 (GMT+8) of 19 September 2018, no need to contact Tigerair Taiwan’s call centre.

Additional flight information

Tigerair Taiwan is going to increase additional services to and from Okayama, the neighbouring airport, in order to provide alternative option for passengers.

  • IT2214 Taoyuan-Okayama 09:25-13:00
  • IT2215 Okayama-Taoyuan 13:50-15:35
