Regarding the cyber-attack, it has discovered external unauthorized access to some of the its information system containing the Tigerair Taiwan’s membership system.

In response to this incident, Tigerair Taiwan instantly took action to investigate. Meanwhile, it notified the relevant government authorities, provided information to the Ministry of Justice Investigation Bureau (MJIB) for investigation, and cooperated with a professional information security risk control company to conduct a comprehensive system scan for potential risks. Since it is the member system that may be affected, which is independent of flight operation systems, it will not have any impact on flight safety. In addition, Tigerair Taiwan does not retain the relevant financial information of members (including complete bank account numbers, credit card numbers, etc.), so this incident does not involve the financial information of any member.

However, in order to protect your rights and interests, Tigerair Taiwan needs to remind all members be aware of your personal data, including name, passport name in English spelling, gender, nationality, date of birth, email address, passport number and expired date and membership number.

Tigerair Taiwan is now cooperating with relevant units for their full assistance in the investigation, actively taking relevant preventive measures, and continuously strengthening network security. We would also like to remind all members to be vigilant to minimize the risk of damage.

1. If you receive an email or text message from an unknown party, please do not open it or click on the URL link, and do not download and install any program or software from unknown sources or forward it to others.

2. Pay attention to whether there is any abnormal behavior in your member account.

3. Pay attention to suspicious letters or text messages requesting you to provide additional personal data.
